I've been working on The Remnant (book2 in the trilogy), and had an idea of a scene where Rek and Jek are playing a game while negotiations are taking place. The more I thought about what that game could look like, I decided to actually develop the game. I'm working on a digital version, but the plan is to have an actual physical card game. It's been a lot of fun working on that, but it's at the expense of actually writing the book, but I'm enjoying it, and that is what is most important.
